Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

Irritable Bowel Syndrome, known as IBS, is a bowl disorder.  Symptoms include abdominal pain, diarrhoea, constipation, bloating, wind, nausea, headache, depression.  Other things can contribute such as alcohol, stress, imbalance in good gut bacteria/flora, parasites.

  • Keep alcohol consumption to a minimum
  • Use strategies to reduce stress – get enough sleep, practice breathing exercises, take walks, exercise, meditate.  Use hypnosis to manage stress, such as Paul McKenna’s ‘Control Stress’ book and hypnosis CD book from Amazon
  • Take probiotics to maintain a good gut flora such as:-
